Creating a stable setting for treatment and abstinence from alcohol, the requirement of an unconditional renunciation of consumption of alcoholic beverages on the rest of his life as the only possible cure is still a major challenge at all stages of treatment of alcoholics, for each physician communication with patients.
The ultimate goal of treatment of alcoholics is installed on abstinence as the only possible cure for alcoholism.
In the construction of therapeutic and educational process in all hospitals at all stages of treatment is necessary to solve three major problems. They are:
1) the conviction of the patient in the presence of his alcoholism as a disease
2) belief in the need for treatment
3) belief in the necessity and inevitability of a complete renunciation of alcohol on life as the only possible cure. |
